Lymphatic drainage massage

Do you have lymphoedema? Are you swollen after a surgical procedure? Have you had lymph nodes removed?

Lymphatic drainage massage or manual lymphatic drainage (MLD) is a very gentle type of massage. The gentle movements and rhythmic pumping actions applied during the massage stimulate the lymphatic system, facilitating the removal of excess fluid and reducing swelling in affected areas.

The service I offer is a 90-minute full body massage. This length is required to have the best effect and to facilitate the timing of strokes. I start with an abdominal massage to encourage digestion (one of the ways out for lymph), I then focus on the biggest lymph nodes around the diaphragm, chest and underarms. I then continue with the upper limbs, neck and face. Afterwards, I focus on the lymph nodes around the groin, and I continue with the lower limbs to finish with the back. I also encourage my clients to drink plenty of fluids afterwards to increase lymph flow.
