What is Myotherapy?
What I Do
My approach includes a comprehensive assessment, encompassing health screening, functional movement screening, postural analysis, gait analysis, muscle testing and range of motion checks. This helps us pinpoint the underlying causes of discomfort and muscle imbalances.
Treatment Approaches
Treatment often includes various manual therapy techniques such as dry needling, deep tissue massage, cupping, stretching, and muscle energy techniques. I also may incorporate taping to support and stabilize muscles. But myotherapy goes beyond manual therapy. It also involves tailored exercise prescriptions, and sometimes sessions may focus exclusively on exercises to improve strength, flexibility, and overall movement.
Holistic Approach
I adopt a holistic perspective by focusing on the four pillars of health: diet, movement/exercise, sleep, and stress management by providing personalized recommendations to support overall well-being, and/or offer referrals for your more specific needs.
Comprehensive Care
In addition to hands-on treatment, I monitor general health indicators such as blood pressure and body composition, ensuring a holistic and comprehensive approach to your health.
My ultimate goal is that you, as my client, won’t have to rely on physical therapy in the future. I want to find solutions and help you engage on your own self-management skills for any condition and pain you present to related to the musculoskeletal system.
